If you bring a direct deposit very late on a Friday, banks may process the the transaction on the next business day though banks try as much as possible to process all transactions and have them posted that very Friday or Saturday morning.
Direct deposit on Friday
If a direct deposit was made on a Friday, definitely the bank will try to process the transaction on that very Friday and have it posted to the stated bank account on that Friday also.
Now if the deposit was made very late on that very Friday or shortly after the cutoff time, the transaction will be carried forward to the next business day and whicg will be on Monday except if there is a federal holiday on that Monday.
If a direct deposit was made on Monday before the cutoff time, banks will process the transaction and have it posted to the account though it will depend on certain circumstances especially if the ach is still working at that time.
