As Mondays to Fridays are business days for banks, they are open to their customers during these days and customers can perform transactions like cash withdrawal from the counter or through the bank teller, cash deposit, opening of bank account or solving issues for the customers.

During business days and hours, bank customer service representative are open to attend to customer needs, questions and inquiries as bank customer service representative are not available on weekends or after banking hours.

Talking about what days are business days for banks which are from Monday to Friday, in some countries especially in the Middle East or the Arab countries, banks don’t work on Fridays or even if they do, the work half an hour.

Few weeks, the United arab emirates now stated that from 2022 banks will no longer work on Sundays so as to match the western banking hours and business days. On Fridays, banks are only open half an hour and which is from 8am in the morning till 12pm in the afternoon.

To explain more on this topic of what days are business days for banks, I will use the likes of bank of America, chase bank, and the Royal Bank of Canada as an example.

Now the branches that are open will only accept cash deposits but it won’t reflect until the next business day or banking which is Monday.

Chase bank

There’s no difference between chase bank and the bank of America in terms of business days as chase bank open from Mondays to Fridays with the opening hours being 8am until 5pm or 6pm depending on the branch and location.

On weekends or probably on Saturdays, some chase bank do work on weekends but only when cash deposit is involved.

However, any cash deposit made on saturday will not reflect or posted to the stated account until the next business or working day which will be on Monday but only if thar very Monday won’t be a federal holiday.

Royal Bank of Canada

The royal Bank of Canada (RBC) open for operation from Mondays to Fridays, starting from 8am until 5pm in the evening. The bank is not open on weekends which includes on Saturdays for almost their branches across the country.
